together with resins and colourfast pigments to assure consistency in
colouring with the added features of stain and heat resistance. SileStone
requires very little maintenance, simply wipe your SileStone surface with
warm soapy water on a regular basis to maintain its natural beauty and
shine. Unlike other stone surfaces, SileStone's polished surface does not
need to be sealed to keep its lustrous shine.

SileStone is the first and only natural quartz surfacing with the
inclusion of Microban protection which provides a proven deterrent to the
growth of common bacteria, yeasts, molds and fungi that can cause stains,
odours, and product deterioration. Under certain conditions, microbes on
an untreated surface can double every 20 minutes. However, SileStone
natural quartz surfaces with built-in Microban protection, penetrates the
cell wall of organisms and inhibits their growth and reproduction. Unlike
surface applied coatings, SileStone incorporates Microban protection into
the molecular structure of the product during the manufacturing process so
it will not wash off or wear away. Providing continuous microbe
protection, SileStone surfaces are easier to clean and stay cleaner
between cleanings for the lifetime of the product.
